ALL MEMBER REMEMBER TO BRING IN 2-3 BOXES BY NEXT WEDNESDAY
This what I think we should do for the skit. Family that is needed in getting food and the mom is helping her 3 kids and very sick husband. then one day she goes out walking looking for food that bums into many b.t.c people they went up to the lady and she said I need food for my kids and my self also for my sick husband the b.t.c member call the mighty super hero and gives all the b.t.c members non perishable food, then they gave it to the lady. when she returned a man stole her food the man said you will starve, look out it's hunger man do you need food too yes give that kind women her food and hear is some food for you to. then we could do some facts about hunger and homelessness we could do facts during the skit and when were doing a fact during the skit we should do a freeze frame.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your idea Astin! But maybe we can do more explaining regarding the family and what happened to the mom when she received her food and went home to bring it to her family. Otherwise, I really enjoyed your idea.
DeleteWe should probably include poverty, homelessness and hunger which Astin sort of did. So the family could be lacking money to pay for the cost of food, and i think that includes some of the ideas that Astin's has already included in his suggestion.
ReplyDeleteI think that whenever the two BTC members state a fact we should have a freeze frame
ReplyDeletei think that a freeze fram is a really good idea so that the audieance knows facts about hunger
Deleteit can't be to much loaded facts so that the little kids can remember
Deletehttp://www.foodbankscanada.ca/Learn-About-Hunger/About-Hunger-in-Canada.aspx this is a great website to get facts on food banks in Canada. Here are some facts I got: Each month, about 900,000 Canadians are assisted by food banks, and 38% of those helped are children and youth., also 55% of food banks needed to cut back on the amount of food provided to each household.
ReplyDeleteabout 40% of second harvest users are youth

1 out of 8 families in canada have a hard time getting food for theirfamily.

27 billion dollars worth of food is wasted every year by canadiens according to second harvest food bank
ReplyDeletesecond harvest food banks mission is two not only supply hungry people with food but to also supply other organizations with enough food.
ReplyDeleteMyth: The same people use food banks for long time periods.
ReplyDeleteFact: Client turnover is high, as much as 10 percent each and every month. The majority of clients require help for short periods.
Myth: It can’t happen to me. I’ll never need to use a food bank.
Fact: Health problems, sudden job loss, family breakup—any of these issues, as well as many others, can create a need for assistance.
Myth: People who use food banks don’t really need to. They’re just using the system.
Fact: Many food bank clients work, have recently lost a job, or suffer from a mental illness.
Myth: It’s mainly adults who use food banks.
Fact: Fifty percent of the households food banks help are families with children.
